The TCU Department of Computer Science was created in 1981 and is part of the College of Science and Engineering. The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Technology. The department has active student chapters of professional organizations: the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE).
